One of our favorite holidays is around the corner. May 25th is National Wine Day, and we’re very excited for oh-so-many reasons. Here are our top two.
One: It gives us a good reason to have a glass of wine on a Tuesday (like we needed an excuse!).
Two: It gives us a great opportunity to share our newest M Cellars releases! These latest vintages have been aging to perfection, and are now available for purchase at the vineyard or in our online shop.
Without further ado, we would like to introduce the newest additions to the M Cellars portfolio:
Meritage 2019 (Estate)
The newest vintage of our prized Bordeaux blend is in stock, bringing with it all the bold and complex characteristics that we know and love. Full-bodied with velvety tannins and plenty of personality, this vintage pairs well with hearty stews, homemade pizza and date nights. M Cellars is still the only Meritage producer in the Grand River Valley, so we’re very excited to have a new vintage this year.
Pinot Gris 2020 (Estate)
This small-lot summer classic has made its debut just in time for patio season. Our Pinot Gris bridges two classic styles with excellent symmetry––the smooth texture and notable body of a French Alsatian Pinot Gris, and the bright citric flavors of a Northern Italian Pinot Grigio. Pair it with seared fish, antipasti, or a round of backyard bocce.
Gewürztraminer 2020 (Estate)
Always a crowd-pleaser, we’re happy to have this fan favorite back for another season. The 2020 vintage offers characteristics of floral and fruit, along with signature Gewürztraminer spiciness, a smooth texture and luxurious finish. It makes a lovely companion for Moroccan chicken tagine, Southeast Asian cuisine, and lakeside picnics.
Cuvée 2020 (Estate)
Can’t choose between Pinot Gris, Riesling and Gewürztraminer? Trust Cuvée to save the day. This refreshing blend will surround your senses with the best of all three worlds – aromatic fruit like ripe golden apple and lychee intertwined with crisp lemon and warm, soft spices. Pairs well with Thai curry, foie gras, or a sunny afternoon.
Dolce Razz 2020
This sweet, port-style fortified wine is made to enjoy young, sip slowly and savor like a decadent dessert. Indulge in its rich flavors of raspberry, red fruit and dark chocolate. Pair with sour cherry pie, bold and funky bleu cheeses, and lingering conversations.
